Rosalia

Rosalia Vila is a Spanish pop and flamenco artist. When she was a teenager she was involved both in traditional and popular music. Her musical interests have expanded to encompass soul and hip-hop. The flamenco guitar player Pepe habichuela characterized her voice as delicate and sharp, but still with the bite of older singers. El Mal Querer gained her fame and critical acclaim after her first album Los Angeles was released in 2017. It earned her an award called the Latin Grammy Award for Best New Artist. La Fama was released by the Weeknd in 2021. Motomami was a collaboration with a variety of artists, including Cory Henry, James Blake as well as others. The release date was March 20th, 2022 in the wake of the live performance by Chicken Teriyaki by Saturday Night Live. Rosalia was the first Spanish singer to sing solo in the program. Motomami's Rosalia, who won the Latin Album of the Year and 3 Latin Grammy Awards in total for Motomami was also the first female to win one.
